Kelham Discovery Tour

The ultimate outdoor tour, journey around the gardens and country park of Kelham Hall. Tour covers the farthest reaches of our 44 acre site and includes; the secret monks grave yard, our riverside meadow, the woodland and sculpted gardens and some great views of the hall.

Professor Franklin Bishop

Professor Bishop is the author of John William Polidori: 'The Vampyre' and Other Writings (2005), Polidori! A Life of Dr. John Polidori (1991), Selected Works of John Polidori (1991), and numerous articles on Gothic and Romantic literary figures.

He is the acknowledged leading World authority on John Polidori and is also Keeper of Newstead Abbey.

A freelance journalist and writer, he is also a tutor for the University of Nottingham, Continuing Education Department

Franklin also appeared alongside BBC star Dan Cruickshanks in the documentary on the Gilbert Scott family; The Family That Built Gothic Britian.
